Elgin Schools Receives Department of Defense Grant for $904,577.13.
Elgin Schools was one of 15 schools in the Nation to receive the DOD grant this summer. Project “Raising the Bar” will consist of 3 goals: (1) increase PrK- reading achievement, (2) increase 9-12 math achievement, and (3) increase science achievement through STEM educational opportunities. With this grant opportunity, Elgin Schools will provide each site with new technology to help support these goals. Technology such as, ipad learning labs at each site, SMART Tables, supplies for science, and ipads and Apple TV’s for each teacher. Elgin Schools is very excited to have received this grant and the opportunity to better serve the students of Elgin.
