Building a Foundation of Excellence

Elgin Public Schools has long been associated with excellence. The 1,985 students in our classrooms today are tomorrow's citizens , workers, innovators, and leaders, and they will work and live in a global, technological society. Our goal is to prepare our students for the future while providing a safe learning environment in which our students can succeed.

To prepare its students with 21st century skills, Elgin Public Schools has increased academic rigor for all students. As a result, Elgin Schools is achieving what all school systems strive for - consistent progress in raising student achievement.
This Foundation of Excellence is built upon the quality of effort demonstrated by teachers, students, administrators, staff members, parents, volunteers, board members, and supporters. Their dedication, intelligence, skill, consistency, and creativity are reflected in every rising test score and every recognition this school system receives.
