
She did it! Elgin High School’s Melissa Evon just won Oklahoma Teacher of the Year! There are 43,000 public school teachers in our state from over 500 districts. Wow, what an honor, we are so proud of you Mrs. Evon!


Due to road closures in our district , school is closed today due to inclement weather today April 30th.

Announcement to the Elgin Community:
The 2nd grade building's gymnasium (located across the street from the High School Gym) is a storm shelter/safe room that is open to the public AFTER the school day ends at 3:30pm and on the weekends.
After school hours and on weekends, the gymnasium will be opened whenever the storm sirens are activated.
No pets/animals are ever allowed in the gymnasium.

For only $10, buy a ceramic bowl made by an EHS student
and enjoy a free dinner of beans, soup, dessert,
bread, and a drink. Proceeds will go to the
Elgin Community Food Pantry,
the Lawton Food Bank,
and Feed the Children
to help with their efforts in the fight against hunger.

We are incredibly proud to announce that our very own High School Family and Consumer Sciences Teacher, Mrs Melissa Evon, has been selected as a finalist for Oklahoma Teacher of the Year! She is one of only 10 teachers who were selected state-wide for this honor. Congratulations Mrs Evon!!!
